The Aztecs worshipped many gods who influenced their lives and created their world. The four main gods of the past consisted of Four Jaguar, Four Wind, Four Rain, and Four Water. The present god is Four Movement. All of these are represented on an artifact, the Aztec Calendar Stone. Its real name was .

In this time period, the life given sun was worshipped by many ancient people in the past, because of its disappearance, its heat and its light. These three elements were considered great powers that's why the emperor at the time, 1427, comissioned that a carving of a stone be made in dedication to the sun. The volunteers were told to go up to the mountains and find the biggest boulder and bring it back for the carving. When they were bringing it back, while crossing a bridge, it collapsed because the weight of the boulder was too much for the bridge to hold. Then they were commisssioned to build a bigger bridge then to go bring another boulder. The second trip was a success and the calendar was finally carved. It was to be placed in a new temple, the temple which took place in 1481.
